Kabatogama is located on Minnesota’s border with Canada, Voyageurs’ 218,000 acres include four major lakes-Rainy, Kabetogama, Namakan and Sand Point and thirty smaller inland lakes that together make up more than a third of the total park area. The smaller inland lakes are scattered throughout the park, but primarily on the Kabetogama Peninsula. The peninsula is Voyageurs’ largest landmass and can be reached by water in summer or over the ice in winter. Visit www.nps.gov/voya for all Park information and Park Naturalist programs.
Kabetogama is a resort area and there are several resorts strung along the south shoreline of the lake. The resorts vary from year round resorts with full restaurants to mom and pop resorts. Several resorts have rv sites for lease. The south shore of Kabetogama is fairly developed and the North shore of the lake has no development to speak of. A handful of private properties are scattered within the park boundaries.
Large boats and houseboats have easy access from Kabetogama into Namakan, Sand Point and Crane Lake. Many bays and islands are scattered along the chain of lakes.
Kabetogama is a short drive 30 mile drive to Rainy Lake, International Falls and the Ontario border. For Anglers looking for good fishing, Kabetogama has what your looking for- Walleye, Northern Pike, Jumbo Perch, Bass and Crappies. MN DNR Lake information.
Kabetogama cabins for sale vary in size and style. Some cabins for sale on Kabetogama are small and rustic others are large and on private lots. Most have rocky up north shoreline, a few will have weeds or sand. Most cabins for sale on Kabetogama will have crib dock and wood floating docks connected. The Kabetogama community also has many homes located off the water. Some homes for sale will be year round homes and some will be seasonal cabins.
