Marion Lake MN is located about 8 miles from Crane Lake. it is 182 acres in size and had 9 foot of water clarity. Marion Lake has three property owners and only two have cabins. Two of the cabins are located behind the yellow forest service gate. A property owner may obtain a permit to go beyond the gate with a vehicle and improve the road. Other people accessing the lake will have to use the walk in portage.

The MN DNR conducted a fish survey in 2012. They found the walleye numbers on Marion Lake were lower than the average lake in the area. The walleye ranged in size from 20.6 and 24.6 inches in size. The growth rates were good compared to other similar lakes in the area. The Northern gill rate catch was very good compared to other lakes in the area. The northern ranged up to 31.3 inches.
