Crane Lake cabins enjoy a location between the Boundary Waters Canoe Area and the Voyageurs National Park. Either of these areas is only a few miles away. The lake may only be around 3,000 acres in size but many people set out to travel by canoe or boat onto, Kabetogama, Rainy Lake, Sand Point, Namakan, Ash River, Little Vermilion Lake, Loon River and Lac La Croix from here.
